HI! I’M TRAVIS
Life Under Grace is my lifestyle
My name is Travis, and I have been slowly finding my way. “A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps (Proverbs 16:9 BSB).” I have had this inspiration since 2008…the idea of crafting illustrations of stories that demonstrate His grace. There are stories within the New and Old Testaments that are so incredible, they are incomprehensible without a concept of God and grace.
At the end of 2019, I got my final inspiration. I was looking for new opportunities in my career as an engineer. During a Bible study, my friend shared a story so profound, it could only have been God’s grace. I then realized that it was time to act on the inspiration from years ago and selected t-shirts as my media. I went to work designing the t-shirts and constructing the business one day at a time. Everything seemed to fall into place…this story is one of my miracles.
Make sure to visit the designs tab for my comments on the art including the logo! My hope is that these designs encourage and inspire a Life Under Grace.
Common Questions on Grace:
What does it mean to live a life of grace?
This is a difficult question to answer because of the depth and breadth of His grace. My hope is that our artwork can help you understand and relate to the very real and tangible grace described in scripture (e.g. healing, peace, provision, guidance, protection, security, communion, forgiveness, life), but also help you articulate your hope and faith with gentleness and respect to others. [1 Peter 3:15b (BSB)]
What is grace? What are the 4 types of grace?
Grace is defined as the unmerited favor of God. His grace is pervasive and limitless. These verses in Psalm 91:14-15 (BSB) describe His lovingkindness: “Because he loves Me, I will deliver him, because he knows My name, I will protect him. When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him.”
Are we living in the time of grace?
This question captures the essence of living after Jesus’ death and resurrection. As it states in Ephesians 1:7-8 (BSB) “In Him we have the redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.” God’s grace is prevalent in both the Old Testament and the New Testament, but forgiveness was bestowed upon us when Christ died for our sins.
How can we live a life of grace as we are governed by law?
We can only live a life of grace through Jesus. “The law came in so that trespass would increase; but where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:20-21 (BSB). And later, Paul states, “For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.” Romans 5:4 (BSB). And finally, “But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.” Romans 7:6 (BSB) It all starts by asking Jesus into your heart, and He will guide you into a life of grace.
